3rd Annual Campout! Carolina: October 9th and 10th, 2009

Campout! Carolina is an annual statewide event encouraging friends, families, churches, scout troops and community groups of all kinds to show support for North Carolina’s environment. Those who participate are encouraged to pitch a tent in their backyard or favorite North Carolina campsite, turn off or unplug non-essential electrical items, and enjoy an evening outdoors with family and friends.

Last year, over 2,000 people from across the state participated in celebrating North Carolina's environment. With your help, we can beat that number and collectively demonstrate the importance of protecting and preserving our natural resources. EarthShare North Carolina is a coalition of 63 non-profit organizations working locally, throughout North Carolina, nationally, and internationally to preserve and protect our environment. ESNC organizations are leading the way to clean up our air and water, protect wildlife and their habitats, and ensure we have natural places to visit and enjoy.
