Campus Challenge
Can you get the most students to camp out for the environment? Join colleges
and universities across the state in a friendly competition to find out.
The Campus Challenge is a part of
Campout! Carolina – an annual statewide event encouraging residents to show support for North
Carolina's environment by camping out Oct. 12-14, 2012.
What is the Campus Challenge?
Campus Challenge is a competition to see which
college or university can get the most students to
camp out to promote environmental awareness. As
part of Campout! Carolina, campuses will compete for
the largest % of participation among their students
and faculty.
All schools share the common goal of the
preservation and sustainability of our environment.
This event is created to inspire appreciation for our
beautiful state, while creating a fun event that could
become an annual campus tradition.
Host a campus campout by registering your college or
university and encouraging students to sign up on the
Campout! Carolina website.
How to Register
To take part in the University Challenge, we require a
$100 registration fee from each campus. Then, each student camper
must register to Be Counted on this web site and specify
the university that they are camping with.
To register your university, contact Kelly Suttles at (919) 687-4840
or email kelly@earthsharenc.org.
