Make sure ESNC is included in your workplace giving campaign. ESNC partners with businesses across the state to provide employees with a way to support the environment through workplace giving campaigns. We currently raise over $570,000 a year through employee giving campaigns, meaning North Carolina employers are making a big impact, without even writing a check, and individuals are able to support the environmental organizations they want to see working in the community.

What Is Workplace Giving?
Our primary mission at ESNC is to raise money for our 63 environmental organizations through workplace giving campaigns throughout North Carolina. We do this through our partnerships with hundreds of corporate, non-profit, private, federal and public workplaces across the state that give employees the choice of supporting imperative environmental programs and efforts.
Once a year, employees are given the chance to make a payroll deduction gift to one or more of ESNC's participating organizations. The individual's contribution is then deducted throughout the year from their paycheck. ESNC pools contributions of all sizes from employees and then distributes the contributions to the appropriate organization. In 2006, employees pledged over $570,000 to ESNC organizations.
A workplace giving campaign is an efficient way to support the environment. Individuals can designate their gift to one or more of our organizations. Additionally, the workplace campaigns boost employee morale, help demonstrate an employer’s commitment to the health and future of its community, and bring much needed financial resources to the work of environmental organizations to invest in clean air, clean water, energy conservation, and a safe and healthy environment.
