Camper Testimonies
Camper from Whitsett, NC:
“We camped at Oregon Inlet Campground and hiked many trails on the Outer Banks including my favorite at Nags Head Woods Preserve.
We also climbed the Cape Hatteras Lighthouse and just relaxed, it was one of the best camping trips despite a steady 25-30 mph wind.”
Camper from Mooresville, NC:
“Thanks for the free tent provided by REI the campout was possible. Our campsite was $12.00 along with the cost of wood for $3.00, so for $15.00 total cost, a great price for camping one-night. There was no rain at all. It was a beautiful night for camping, the wind was blowing high among the trees, and it was so peaceful. There were many crickets out making their presence known. We only camped for one night and we had extra wood so we gave it to the family that was camping next to us. My husband & I sat down and made a list of items we need for our next campout. This was our first time at this particular park in general. We will definitely campout next year! We thoroughly enjoyed it!”
Kimberly from Hendersonville:
"We had quite an experience celebrating Campout! Carolina. I took my husband, Tom, and our friend, Sabine, along with her seven-year-old daughter, Alexandra. We camped in North Mills River in the Pisgah National Forest and enjoyed the day fishing and the evening with hotdogs, popcorn and s'mores over the campfire. We made some great memories adn plan to camp next year for Campout! Carolina 2009!
