Campout! Carolina Patches
Thank you for participating in Campout! Carolina. The purpose of the event is to show support for a healthy environment and celebrate the beautiful natural areas we are so lucky to have here in North Carolina. It is important that we all take part in keeping our air and water clean, and preserving our natural resources. Below is a list of simple things you and your group can do.
Water Conservation
- Turning off the faucet while brushing teeth.
- Taking shorter showers.
Energy Conservation
- Turning off lights in rooms that are not being used.
- Shutting down computers and monitors when not being used.
Waste Reduction
- Cutting down on waste by bringing lunch to school in reusable containers
- Using rechargeable batteries in portable electronics.
Natural Area Protection
Commit Today!
By filling out the pledge form and committing to complete at least two of the environmental stewardship actions, your group members can earn a Campout! Carolina patch.
